A Watercolor Basics CD Give-away on my Blog!

This CD is just chock-full of information, examples, and step by step demos--lots of exercises to familiarize you with techniques and skills, or let you brush up if you haven't painted for a while!

There are 14 instructional PDFs on the CD, plus my bio, a mini-catalog, and more...

I just discovered I have a few extras of this CD, so I'm giving one away to the lucky name I draw from the first 30 people to post here! (Please include your name or some way to contact you privately.)

Below are three examples of the art you'll see:

Watercolor Basics normally sells for $16.99 on my website catalog--feel free to click the link to learn more about it!

I'll have an impartial party (oh, OK, Joseph!) draw the winner's name over the weekend, and ship it to you Priority Mail at the first of next week.

Good luck, and hope you like it!

As always, beautiful work, Kate! I have never had a watercolor lesson and would love to learn this medium.....yes, I have only dabbled in it....or rather, played in it....but as far as seriously learning.....not yet. I have only had classes in oils....and picked up the pastels on the side, with intentions of learning the WC techniques. I love the look and the technique, keeping in mind the lack of forgiveness I have always been told was present in the medium. Regardless, I would love to learn, with guidance from the best of the best....and that would be you.

  6. Ok, Kate...I'll comment! I love blog giveaways. I won a hat from a knitting blog, once. Do you still make ceramics? We were using the square bowl you made this weekend at Redcoats to Rebels at Sturbridge. We put yummy bread on it...

I should really try watercolor again...I need something to nudge me along.

  47. What a great idea, Kate. I have both of your watercolor CDs, and, in fact,I have looked at them often, but am starting serious studying and work on them, this summer.

Whoever wins it will be delighted with it. And the rest of you might as well buy them. If you follow each little exercise, instead of just watching them, as I did first, you'll be surprised what starts happening on the paper(Stock up,Kate).

    Best of luch!

  54. Well, thanks all! The response was amazing, so I'll do this again in a few weeks, with this or another CD. I wasn't sure what kind of response I'd get, so I said the first 30...maybe I'll set a higher number next time!

  55. Hi Cathy,

Hope I'm in here somewhere. I just got some journals and watercolors for journaling. I too am a minimalist person and live with so much less. Much more time for what I want to do rather than what I have to do, clean, maintain, dust, etc. I'm a much happier "camper,"
