This CD is just chock-full of information, examples, and step by step demos--lots of exercises to familiarize you with techniques and skills, or let you brush up if you haven't painted for a while!
There are 14 instructional PDFs on the CD, plus my bio, a mini-catalog, and more...
I just discovered I have a few extras of this CD, so I'm giving one away to the lucky name I draw from the first 30 people to post here! (Please include your name or some way to contact you privately.)
Below are three examples of the art you'll see:
Watercolor Basics normally sells for $16.99 on my website catalog--feel free to click the link to learn more about it!
I'll have an impartial party (oh, OK, Joseph!) draw the winner's name over the weekend, and ship it to you Priority Mail at the first of next week.
Good luck, and hope you like it!
Heee!! Am I first???
ReplyDeleteHi Kate!! I'm not active here, but I do still read!!

As always, beautiful work, Kate! I have never had a watercolor lesson and would love to learn this medium.....yes, I have only dabbled in it....or rather, played in it....but as far as seriously learning.....not yet. I have only had classes in oils....and picked up the pastels on the side, with intentions of learning the WC techniques. I love the look and the technique, keeping in mind the lack of forgiveness I have always been told was present in the medium. Regardless, I would love to learn, with guidance from the best of the best....and that would be you.
ReplyDeleteOkay Joseph, pick Teri. lol I would love to have this CD and if I don't win I may have to come buy it. It looks marvelous!!
ReplyDeleteOk, Kate...I'll comment! I love blog giveaways. I won a hat from a knitting blog, once. Do you still make ceramics? We were using the square bowl you made this weekend at Redcoats to Rebels at Sturbridge. We put yummy bread on it...
ReplyDeleteI should really try watercolor again...I need something to nudge me along.
Colleen

I'm not so far away that I can't make it even tho Kansas is by far the longest drive, ever! Hope I can see you and J soon. Glad your wandering son returned home.

hi cathy
ReplyDeletethank you for your offer .
mtcherian@yahoo.com
What a great idea, Kate. I have both of your watercolor CDs, and, in fact,I have looked at them often, but am starting serious studying and work on them, this summer.
ReplyDeleteWhoever wins it will be delighted with it. And the rest of you might as well buy them. If you follow each little exercise, instead of just watching them, as I did first, you'll be surprised what starts happening on the paper(Stock up,Kate).
Best of luch!
annie
Well I will throw my brush (hat) into the group. Love your books so the CDs must be sonderful. Just finished taking Kate's online class. If anyone is thinking about them, don't think twice, it was a great learning experience. fpakk@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI would love one, watercolor is not my normal medium but I love to experiment with my sketches, and of course I love your work!

ReplyDeleteWow, Kate looks like you have 53 comments already...so I am 2 days late and a dollar short.....LOL...Thanks for this wonderful offer!! I have 3 of your superb CDs but not this one..Keep me on your list for a watercolor class when you get to it...I have been away and doing tons of summer stuff, so a bit absent on the boards and groups lately. It is outdoor time!!!...Cheers...Hannah
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks all! The response was amazing, so I'll do this again in a few weeks, with this or another CD. I wasn't sure what kind of response I'd get, so I said the first 30...maybe I'll set a higher number next time!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy,
ReplyDeleteHope I'm in here somewhere. I just got some journals and watercolors for journaling. I too am a minimalist person and live with so much less. Much more time for what I want to do rather than what I have to do, clean, maintain, dust, etc. I'm a much happier "camper,"
